Image Resolution Intelligence Capacity

There are multiple dimensions of intelligence that determine human capability: the ability to synthesize unrelated information, connect data across disciplines (interdisciplinary), retain knowledge, preserve computational state, and compress experience into models without degrading the image resolution of reality.

When people reduce others to broad generalities or unrefined models without contextual nuance, they introduce information loss through compression. The mind cannot hold a full-resolution representation of reality and still function, so it reduces the resolution because their mind cannot hold that much information in the state. That reduction often contaminates unrelated variables and information into the same model, creating an inaccurate representation of reality. Some individuals can maintain larger internal state, preserve nuance, and still function without information loss of reality. This is higher-resolution intelligence.

This maps directly to our internal image of the world. Intelligence is partly defined by the resolution of that image. A low-resolution mind relies on coarse categories shaped by over-compression. A higher-resolution mind maintains separation between models, preserves contradiction, tracks timing, motive, environment, and history, and resists collapsing complexity prematurely. This is a more capable cognitive system that produces a higher resolution image of reality; more is informational experienced.

Some minds cannot hold large informational state, so they form to simpler models with a lower informational image resolution of reality. Their experience of reality is without finer detail and precision of reality representation when thinking real time about the world.

The capacity to hold multiple models with a vast array of information simultaneously without cross-contamination defines state size. That state size drives and defines cognitive capacity. It determines how much of reality can be represented with precision inside the mind. This is image resolution intelligence.
